Craig Marks Joins HITS As Executive Editor-At-Large

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Music industry trade HITS announced that Craig Marks has joined the publication in the role of Executive Editor at Large.

A former music editor for the Los Angeles Times, Marks has also held senior roles at at SPIN, Blender and Billboard. He also co-wrote the I Want My MTV: An Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution with fellow music writer Rob Tannenbaum.

HITs announced Marks’ hiring in a tongue-in-cheek press release that included the following quote.

“Who is Craig Marks, and why am I paying him?” asked HITS Editor in Chief Lenny Beer from the 11th hole at Laguna.

Publisher Dennis Lavinthal was on vacation and unavailable for comment.
