Franklin Lakes Commemorates Parson Pond Park Opening

The pond is adjacent to the Express Scripts corporate campus on Old Mill Road. The ceremony will be at 6 p.m. in the ball field adjacent to the parking lot for the park. The opening is the culmination of an agreement reached between the borough and Express Scripts, which provides for the donation by Express Scripts of 84 acres of passive and active recreational parkland to Franklin Lakes.  Among the other terms of the agreement are the corporation's commitment to remain in Franklin Lakes, the borough's acquisition of the child care center — located on the donated parcel — and settlement of ongoing tax appeals.

Man Missing For Months In Rockville ID'd As Body Found Near Potomac River

Rockville resident Neil Bernstein was reported missing on Friday, Feb. 17 in the Maryland side of Great Falls Park near Macarthur Boulevard in Potmoac, prompting an extensive search by concerned friends, family, and members of the Montgomery County Department of Police. Officers were called to the Angler's boat ramp at the Potomac River on the afternoon of Monday, April 3, to investigate a body that was found in the water.
