Dr. Baum was born in Bridgeport; son of Samuel and Sadye Baum. A well respected physician, he was Chief of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Park City Hospital from 1954 to 1991 and served as president of the Medical Staff from 1972 to 1974. His private practice was located in Fairfield. He was a graduate of the University of Vermont Medical School, served his internship at Bellevue Hospital and his residency at Mt.

NEW YORK – According to Reuters the New York Jets football team on Wednesday said it had dropped its roughly 10-year-long fight to build a $2 billion stadium on Manhattan's West Side. The team refused to quit despite a number of obstacles, including community opposition, lawsuits and finally, the state's rejection of a financing plan. In a letter to the state transit agency that owns the land, the Jets contended that the city was losing out on 18,000 construction jobs, 7,000 permanent jobs and over $1 billion in new tax revenue.

Newspaper Deliveryman, Police Officers Save 97-Year-Old Sleeping Man From Hatboro House Fire

The newspaper deliveryman, though, was the one who called 9-1-1 when he saw flames coming from the second story window of the home on the 100 block of Fairview Avenue, around 3:25 a.m., Nov. 23, police said. Hatboro Sgt. Aaron Simon and Officer Robert McMahon forced their way into the home through a back door, and began yelling to alert any occupants of the fire, police said. The officers continued to yell and were able to wake up a 97-year-old man, who was asleep in his bedroom and unaware his home was on fire, police said.

The WiZink Center Joins The European Arenas Association

EAA’s President, Olivier Toth, announced the news welcoming new members to the fold at the organization’s annual Spring General Meeting held at the Accor Arena in Paris. With the addition of the WiZink Center, the EAA now boasts 38 venues spread across 19 countries. “We are glad to be part of the EAA and to be able to share experiences and knowledge with our fellow members from now and on,” said Manuel Saucedo, WiZink Center chief executive.
