The incident took place in Hartford County on Fairfield Drive in the town of Burlington on Sunday, around 1:25 a.m., Sunday, May 21. State police said the truck, a 2013 Chevy Silverado, was traveling in an unknown direction when Sophie Ringquist, of Burlington, the front seat passenger, fell out from the vehicle as it was moving. Ringquist was transported to Bristol Hospital and was later pronounced dead. The truck was being driven by an 18-year-old Litchfield County resident, from the town of Harwinton, state police said.

Baltimore native Gordon D. Lambert, Jr., 36, passed away on Monday, Dec. 12. He leaves behind his two children, Sean and Micaila, a sister, parents, and many other family members and friends, the obituary continues. Saint Leonard resident Ernest Drew Phillips, 38, has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and related offenses following a two-month investigation. According to police, beginning in December last year, the Computer Crimes Unit launched an investigation into the possession of child pornography online, which led them to Phillips. The initial investigation led to detectives obtaining media files of child pornography that were distributed online and was ultimately linked to Phillips in Calvert County.
