Former Sayville Teacher Accused Of Providing Alcohol To Student

Administrators of the Sayville Union Free School District contacted Suffolk County Police in May 2021 regarding allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a teacher at Sayville Middle School. An extensive investigation conducted by Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers determined then-teacher Jason Ferremi invited a student to his home on Pine Street in Sayville and provided the then-16-year-old boy with alcohol in December 2020, Suffolk County Police said. Ferremi, age 36, was arrested Friday afternoon, March 4, and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

K9 Teams, Drones Helping In Search For Missing Woman Last Seen In Willington

Anne Page, age 80, went missing from the Village Hill Road area in the Tolland County town of Willington during the night of Thursday, Dec. 21, state police announced on Friday, Dec. 22. Page is described as a white woman who is believed to have been wearing white Christmas-themed pajamas and blue sneakers. She suffers from medical complications that can cause her to become disoriented and confused, police said. To help with the search effort, authorities are asking residents in the area to stay in their cars if they are going out and to avoid hiking trails to preserve Page's scent for K9 units and limit confusion for air support.

Triple-Fatal Fire IDs: Victims Were All Members Of Young Family In Monroe

According to Chana Gellman Burston, co-director of the Chabad Of Orange County, the three were members of the Chabad and identified them as Kalman Goldstein, his wife Sarah, and 7-year-old daughter Miriam.  The fire took place in Orange County around 12:55 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 at 44 Highland Ave., in the village of Monroe, according to the Monroe Police. Two-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Building In Stamford

Responders in Stamford raced to the scene after receiving calls of a structure fire at 37 Manhattan St. at around 6:10 p.m. Saturday, April 30, said Captain Philip Hayes of the Stamford Fire Department. An assignment consisting of three engines, a tower ladder, a rescue, a rapid intervention team and a shift commander was dispatched and arrived within minutes of the initial calls, Hayes said.  The first arriving firefighters reported heavy fire showing from the rear exterior of the vacant two-story commercial structure, according to Hayes.
