As word spread online about her passing, memorials slowly began to trickle in, then flood her social media accounts. They lamented the loss of such a vibrant light and a young woman who had a bright future ahead of her.  Many of the posts reflected on Murray's artwork and her creative spirit.  While others just remembered her as a loving and caring friend.  The driver who crashed into Murray remained on the scene and cooperated with police, authorities said.

In response to numerous community complaints, at about 4 p.m. Monday, March 27, authorities conducted the operation in Centereach at New Day Spa on Dawn Drive. Following an investigation, Jessica Garcia, age 30, and Wenjuan Deng, age 42, both of Flushing, Queens, were arrested and charged with unauthorized practice of a profession.  They were issued a desk appearance ticket and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

The decades-old incident happened during the early morning of Feb. 1, 1985, around 12:15 a.m., when April Grisanti left Anthony's Bar in Norwalk on Main Street and was forced into a vehicle by her ex-boyfriend who then drove away, Norwalk Police said in an announcement on Monday, Jan. 30.  Grisanti had been involved in an argument with her ex-boyfriend, James "Purple" Aaron, earlier in the night before the kidnapping.  Aaron was later arrested on Feb.
